The Pomona Registry for Artists and Performers (P-RAP) showcases the artists and performers that produce, exhibit, or promote the arts in the Pomona Valley and surrounding communities. The goal of the Registry is to a) provide recognition of local creatives, b) connect creatives with art and performance venues seeking programming, and c) connect creatives to community arts initiatives, creative employment, and RFP’s for commissioned work.

For example, the Registry is the go-to resource for galleries and independent stages that are looking to book exhibitions and shows for Pomona’s Second Saturday Art Walk and Fourth Saturday Walk the Beat music celebration.

PERFORMER APPLICATION

Artist Guidelines*

Both the responsibilities of the Artist and the Gallery are presented in a contractual agreement well in advance of the exhibition. The Artist must agree to the conditions of the signed contract in order to exhibit in METRO Art Gallery. Sample copies of the Artist Contract are available upon request. Selected artists will be contacted to determine a mutually agreed upon dates for the length of their exhibition. Artists must be present for the Opening Reception on the second Saturday of their exhibition. Artists selected to exhibit their work must have a sufficient quantity of work for display. The artist delivers and sets up the exhibition as agreed upon prior to the show. This fee is 30% commission from all art sold during the exhibit month. Metro Art Gallery will collect the fees from the art sold and will provide a check to the artist, once exhibit is completed. The cheque will be sent to the address provided in previous page. Cheques over $600.00 will need a W-9 form, prior to the check distribution. All displayed art must be for SALE. The Gallery will provide publicity via social media and goodie bags for the guest. The artist(s) are responsible for all invitations and will tag @downtownpomona on social platforms when promoting the event. In addition to completing this application form, you must submit Hi-RES images of your work below.

Agreement *

SPECS: You can set up at the DPOA office the week of Art Walk Month, Day, Year. Let me know which day/time works best for you so I can arrange to be in the office and have the walls prepped and ready; the two walls are approximately 18ft L by 12ft H. Please bring supplies to hang your artwork as well as price list/ description and labels to put next to each painting. Pictures of your artwork, along with your price list, will be sent to our insurance carrier to ensure that your artwork is insured. The Art Walk will be Saturday, Month, date, year. The DPOA will receive a 30% commission of any work that sells in the gallery. We provide refreshments at the opening reception. However, you are welcome to bring in any refreshments that pertain to your show or something you feel your guest will like, but it is not necessary as we provide plenty. We only host one reception, on the 2nd Saturday Art Walk between 5-8pm. Your pieces will remain up at the Metro Art Gallery from Month, day, Year to Month, day, Year.
