Are you ready to open your gallery?

The Pomona Arts Colony is an historic hub for the arts in Southern California. With more than two dozen galleries and performance venues, the neighborhood hosts hundreds of events every year featuring everything from emerging talent to national tours. Now, the Fox Community Culture Fund is seeking proposals to manage and operate a rent-free art gallery in the Pomona Arts Colony.

Gallery Operator Proposal Application

 (nonprofit, for-profit, collaborative, etc.)

When was it founded or, if it is a new venture, how is it being organized? (&) If it is a nonprofit, articles of incorporation should be included. 

…of exhibitions, arts programming, etc. (If it is a new entity, skip this section and focus on the track record of key personnel.)

List their names, skill sets, roles in the proposed gallery, and resumes. (Please address the Qualifications and Experience section above that lists Gallery Management, Art Scene Expertise, and Community Engagement Skills.)

List any connections the entity or its key personnel have to Pomona or other arts clusters in the Southland.

Brief explanation of the source of revenue to meet the gallery’s financial obligations (e.g., membership dues, donations, grants, etc.).

Please feel free to include any letters of reference or press articles that speak to the reputation and ambition of the entity or its key players.

(This can be a sample calendar of possible activities in the gallery and the frequency of such activities.)

How does the gallery meet one or more of the Additional Objectives sections listed above? (Respondents are welcome to list any core objectives of the gallery’s programming that are not mentioned above.)
